**IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT**

Unfortunately, due to poor ticket sales, The ATF has had to make the difficult decision to cancel the upcoming 'Check Your Neck' Gala Ball fundraising event on Friday 18 October at Le Montage, Sydney. We apologise for any inconvenience and will provide a full refund of the ticket price to those who had purchased a ticket.

We are extremely disappointed about having to cancel this event, and appreciate all the support our ATF Members and the broader thyroid community has shown. We'd particularly like to acknowledge our wonderful special guests who had agreed to give up their time to make this event a memorable one - including MCs Susie Burrell (Dietician & Nutritionist) & Chris Smith (Sky News & Sunrise); and speaker, Jess Hall (2019 MasterChef contestant).

As the ATF doesn't receive any government funding or have any corporate sponsors, this event would have been our major fundraising event for the year. These funds would have allowed us to continue to raise awareness and education about the importance of Good Thyroid Health to healthcare professionals and the general public. We hope to organise another fundraising event in the future and will keep you updated of any details.

Australia can be a remote place when you are dealing with health problems on your own. Unfortunately doctors in country and city areas don’t always know enough about the symptoms and diagnosis of thyroid disorders or have the time we need from them when we are unwell.

The ATF Albury Member Meeting provides you with an opportunity to meet other members who attend local meetings. These meetings are such a valuable asset to members, with the opportunity to share information and gain support from others attending and the experienced convenor, in your local area.

Local medical and healthcare professionals are invited to speak at Member Meetings. These professionals give up to date information and resources in their presentation and answer questions you may have. Your Convenor will keep you updated on meetings and speakers.

Meetings are free to current financial members of The ATF.

Non-members are asked to pay $5.00 attendance.
